Colorado Mines Peak 12,497 Feet. Colorado Winter Day Hike
Join me on this relatively short but incredible day hike up to the summit of Colorado Mines Peak at 12,497 feet! This hike is 4.5 miles round trip with about 1,600 feet of total elevation gain! The hike begins at Berthoud Pass and is all part of the CDT. At the summit you get amazing views of all the surrounding peaks including four 14ers and you can see all the interesting structures built up there for the weather station which is owned by the Colorado School of Mines! Enjoy!
Hi Ethan! Great hike- with really awesome views at the top! Love to see al the snow-capped peaks 👍👍😊😊 I think I would be waiting until summer to try this one… great that you can hike there in winter!!
Great shot at 13:33.
Hey Ethan me and the family climbed Mt. Flora last August after watching your video. Our first and only summit. Peace.
Cool spot. Liked this one. 👍
Congrats on the summit! Not easy. I was looking for one out that direction for Tuesday. Its nice to see what the conditions are like. My options are limited.
There isn’t that much snow on top. I guess the wind blows it off.
Such a beautiful place for a hike! Thanks for sharing your experience
