(Wales, Utah) Located along highway 117 in Sanpete County, Utah is a small town with a historic past.
Originally named Coalbed the town was born in 1854 to mine “the rock that burns”. This would become Utah’s first coal town and coal mines.

    My ancestors helped build Wales. Helped establish it. My great great aunts house is shown.

    Beautiful part of the state horrible place to live unless you are from a family with the "write last name"…one if the worst school districts in the state with horrible bullying issues propegated by the districy and the teachers.
