A firefighter in southern China’s Guizhou province sprinted out of the shower after hearing the emergency siren. His slippers were left behind while he was on the way to get dressed, but he continued to run on bare feet.

How come I’ve realized firefighters are the only ones with this urgency? Cops and EMTS never seem to be in as much of a rush as firefighters. I mean firefighters even have a pole to slide down, instead of taking the stairs. This is an American perspective by the way, not sure if it is the same in other countries.

In my country, bad person firefight will ask money first to do. If don’t get, he will work bad and slow.

Being a fan of the Dennis Leary show Rescue Me always made me want to be a fire fighter but with my health issues like asthma & my back plus my heart issues from when I was a kid (I had 2 open heart surgeries at 2 days old & was the first person to survive the surgery because last minute the surgeon changed something during the procedure & it worked) so it would be impossible for me plus I broke my back in 6 places & had the surgeon eff my one vertebrae up for life!
Mad respect. Every. Second. Counts.
Reminds me of the other fire hall watching their soccer team on the tv, and the alarm went off they all immediately suited up and left.
Their dedication and commitment is truly commendable. Sincere thanks to fire fighters across the world.
