I think the land is where the value is. I know its only 5 acre but land is a lot in cali.
Very few collectors want those old pre ’40’s cars anymore. They go fairly cheap at auctions, even in great shape. I would have passed too!
I’ve probably driven past the property a million times, only being an hour away. Always love trying to look for old gold hidden in the mountains, then wondering what’s hidden up the long driveways you can’t see up. Got my 71 c20 from the area. This episode hits home literally! Cool collection, but you’d have to get it all well below wholesale so that you could afford to move it all and store it until it all sold, and then you’d have to sell it for top retail or you’ll basically be doing all that work for nothing. That is a very cool deal for someone that wants most of that collection for themselves, so they can finish restoring them and have their own barn full of cool old vehicles they can tinker with and admire for years.
