BREAKING: Hubble Just Made A Stunning Black Hole Discovery

While everyone’s waiting for the first images of the James Webb Space Telescope, Hubble continues to make stunning astronomical discoveries. The Hubble Space Telescope has determined the mass of the first free-floating black hole in our Galaxy. The Milky Way is believed to be home to more than 100 million stellar-mass black holes. However, the problem is that since even light cannot escape the gravity of a black hole, it is impossible to discover them. So far, astronomers had only discovered black holes in binary systems by analyzing either the gravitational waves or electromagnetic radiation emitted when they feast on their companion stars.

But now, using the technique of gravitational microlensing and Hubble’s meticulous observations, two teams of researchers have found the first evidence of a rogue black hole in our galaxy.

Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth Isaiah 40: 26

Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein Isaiah 42 : 5

I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded
    Isaiah 45 : 12

For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else Isaiah 45 : 18

    Just remember
Everything moving around the black hole is not disturbed.

God I really hate how at the end of each video, this channel makes shameless, cheap attempts at getting comments by asking some really ambiguous open-ended question, like "where would you point the HST? Let’s see who has the best idea!" And people fall for it. Every. Time.

    it’s actually a supernova

  9. RisenFrom youtube'sAshesAgain! on July 30, 2023 at 8:56 pm

I wish we could send a new Voyager to this blackhole, ready to provide as much data as possible until it either spaghettifies, or passes thru a wormhole to another universe, unscathed.

Point Hubble towards Uranus & let’s see if the microbes have consciousness

  11. M G on July 30, 2023 at 8:57 pm

Hey everyone, I have a question.
1st: what’s the difference between the James Webb telescope vs the Nancy Grace? I know the James Webb telescope is suppose to replace the Hubble but is the Nancy Grace going to go more further in the universe than The Webb? Does anyone have any good links besides NASA where I can get comparison info? Trying to learn I’m a bit of a noob still but I would love to hear what you guys have to say! Thanks in advanced.

If black holes have infinite mass and the universe is infinite… then it would make sense these are all alternate universes “growing” and even colliding with each other

  13. Martin Boháč on July 30, 2023 at 8:59 pm

I would point to to the moon. So I could see if those "things" are really there 😉

This was the 12th episode of the Sunday Discovery Series. I am glad the series has received a great response so far. Thank you so much for watching. This series aims to bridge the gap between astronomical research and the people who love the subject as a hobby. We try to make sure that there is always something for everyone in these episodes. Stay tuned for more episodes 🙂

I would strap an ion drive onto the Hubble telescooe and send it to the alpha centauri system.
Have it begin sending signals 10 or 15 years later.

  36. Saiara Akhtar on July 30, 2023 at 9:28 pm

If the galaxy is expanding would it be possible a black hole is pulling us towards a massive hole and we just aren’t noticing

  37. Tactical Derpy on July 30, 2023 at 9:28 pm

While I have many ideas on what to do with Hubble. I’d be curious to see if it could read a newspaper on Earth. or try and take a picture of one of the Voyager probes.

  38. 33L SURYC on July 30, 2023 at 9:29 pm

If I had the Hubble telescope for a day. I would put it between the Earth and the Sun, turn the telescope around, and use i to like a giant magnifying glass to set the world on fire 🔥

Maybe these are the transport systems we have been looking for.

  45. Ashraful Sohan on July 30, 2023 at 9:35 pm

Point the telescope towards area 51

  46. rollmeister on July 30, 2023 at 9:38 pm

Light is not pulled by gravity, it has no mass. All light paths are bent into the centre of the blackhole because of extreme spacetime compression. The light cannot find its way out.

  47. James Evans on July 30, 2023 at 9:40 pm

I doubt any star has obited a black hole in the time hubbles been up there come on. We follow scientists and their “theorys” way to much.

  48. saba kopernik on July 30, 2023 at 9:40 pm

Now if We got hubble images, Where’s james webb images then ?
