Bisbee AZ – Lavender Pit and Queen Mine

Bisbee is a colorful little town in southern Arizona. The modern copper mining industry got its start there at about the time Wyatt Earp was shooting up the OK Corral, just up the road in Tombstone. The 1880-era underground mines left numerous cracks and sinkholes in the mountains, and the open pit provides some interesting scenery for the adjacent highway.
