So fun to watch all of the exploration of fun. Love the fact that you both seem to smile and enjoy every mile of the adventure. and of course Pistol always seems happy. Thanks for sharing. Safe travels.

Looking forward to being able to try Van life in the next year! Really enjoy your channel also pistol is a real cutie!, I do have a couple of questions for you both – what was the biggest surprise you found about living in a van? Did it take you a long time to decide that you wanted to live out of a van ? Thanks for your time and “Carry On”

You guys need to head down to the “Oldest City” St. Augustine, Florida! Love watching your adventures! 💕 We don’t have our Class B yet, but working on it! We are so ready to travel across the USA! Hi Pistol, from our 2 yorkies Khali & Carley and schnauzer Pepper

  6. Stingrayshark on March 16, 2021 at 4:53 am

What happen to Pistol when you guys toured the mine because it looked like you guys were walking her heading to the mine?

The process was interesting but Im not keen on destroying nature for profit, though it happens, unfortunately today.

    Dave & Irene
Glad you can appreciate the miners significant travail (my 50 cent word) and the painters that can paint a glorious sunset. Here is an artist that had incredible human spirit like yours.

    That was awesome!
I’ve watched a lot of "Van Life" videos over the years, and none have taken me underground for a mine tour. You guys Rock!
See what I did there?? LOL!

The idea of tapping the dynamite to make it bigger doesn’t sound like such a good plan to me

  15. M. D. Grimes on March 16, 2021 at 5:08 am

toooooooo small, couldn’t do it! Thanks for sharing. 🙂

Not going in a mine, not in this lifetime, no way, no how. I panic under to many covers!!! Hahahaha! Really glad you did though! Enjoyed seeing it, but did get way too nervous just watching-

Hi, waving at ya… wow… big mine.. we went to the Bozeman Mt. copper mine… it was interesting too. Bisbee is really cute..

  18. Sheila Qualls on March 16, 2021 at 5:12 am

I’ve flown over that mine many times but now I have a new perspective. That mine tour reminded me of the salt mine tour I took in southern Germany many years ago. Loved that sunset & was super cool in the reflection on the van!

  19. LeAnna Estep on March 16, 2021 at 5:13 am

This was an awesome video. I’ve not seen another video of the Queen Mine…thank you.

  20. Timebandit RvTravels on March 16, 2021 at 5:14 am

I was a coal miner for a year

  21. happycat on March 16, 2021 at 5:16 am

We used to live by the Chino mine in Santa Rita NM. Those trucks they use to haul the ore out are HUGE! Loved the sunset and the Pistol shot going up the steps.

  22. Todd Ramsay on March 16, 2021 at 5:17 am

That train loks like the same type we took into a salt mine in Salzburg, Austria. The mine was narriw for a half mile going into the mine. Very cool!

Ahhh home sweet home. We live in Bisbee. Just found your channel ( looking for full time couples living in vans) were in our 50s recently retired. Trying to make the decision to sell the place and put all our “financial eggs in one basket” we’ve made other “crazy” life changes in the past. But now that we will be living on a smaller fixed income….it’s a bit scarier. Would love to hear more about your costs of traveling full time. Do you still have a real estate property? Do you have grown children? We have 5 grown kids all around the country. Loving your videos. Super cool mural on your road trek too ✌️

  24. roberto abrams on March 16, 2021 at 5:20 am

I really enjoyed this video! I especially loved the music you chose for the “South Western” feel it evokes…very well done 👏🏻

No, I wouldnt have been able to be a miner either in those days! I understand the mindset of ppl who did do it though! There were no studies about the dangers of Black Lung Disease, or any other respiratory illness being done. The job was strictly a means of supporting the Family!

    Nice job you three 👍👌😎✌🏻

Honey moon there took the tour 1983

  26. LeAnna Estep on March 16, 2021 at 5:23 am

If you’re ever able to come back to the Whitewater Draw area when the Sandhill Cranes are in migration, you’ll be amazed. It’s so beautiful.

  27. Bev N on March 16, 2021 at 5:24 am

You 2 brave souls. No way could I go inside there, but it was interesting to see and learn about.
They could have given Dave a chisel and tools to leave his trademark "spoon" inside the mountain.😉
Good idea..heading East & south…you must be in warmer climate by now or getting closer.

  28. Taylor Way on March 16, 2021 at 5:25 am

A mine is a terrible thing to waste.

  29. Vickie Lane on March 16, 2021 at 5:32 am

That was interesting and I would not be able to go in there so thanks for sharing; to through you I was able to get the experince!

  30. Joanne Berube on March 16, 2021 at 5:33 am

Well, I’m sure glad you did that and filmed it so that I know NOT to go! 🙂

  31. Melanie Carlisle on March 16, 2021 at 5:33 am

  34. Joe O on March 16, 2021 at 5:37 am

Loved those GREEN hard hats! LOL. And great sunsets. Looked like islands in the sky. I have done mine tours here in Pa. Coal mines. Pretty cool . Cold down there in the mine. Carey ON!

  35. Joe Croteau on March 16, 2021 at 5:39 am

Wow exciting tour but for me with my claustrophobia I could never go in the mine. So thank you for taking us a long. BTW you guys look very cool in helmets LOL
