Bear Lake Kayaking, Logan Canyon Fall Foliage, & Raspberry Shakes | Hidden Gems in Utah

Bear Lake Kayaking, Logan Canyon Fall Foliage, & Raspberry Shakes | Hidden Gems in Utah

We started out an incredibly busy day in Utah by driving up Logan Canyon (after our coffee of course). We were here in September, when the leaves had really started changing and were a rainbow of colors. After making plenty of stops on the side of the road the fly the drone and admire the changing colors, we made it to our first stop of the day – Tony Grove! This was a recommendation from our airbnb hosts, and it did not disappoint! Tony Grove Lake is a stop about 20 miles into Logan Canyon, with a paved hiking trail and plenty of cows to keep you company. We spent an hour walking around the lake and enjoying the easiness of the hike. Tip: your America the Beautiful Pass will cover the $10 parking fee. After we were done at this lake, we headed to the next one: Bear Lake! Bear Lake is known as the “Caribbean of the Rockies” due to its beautiful teal-blue hue and see through water. The winds here are WILD! After driving around half of the lake (which took forever, this lake is HUGE!), we found a free and deserted spot to inflate our kayak and try out this lake. We didn’t go too far from shore because of the winds, but still had a great time. We couldn’t leave Bear Lake without trying the famous raspberry shakes. We read the best shakes were found in 2 spots: La Beau’s and Chevron (yes, the gas station). We thought both were incredible and worth every penny. Our drive back home through Logan Canyon was just as colorful as our drive through earlier that day, and the perfect way to end our time in northern Utah. Thank you so much for watching, don’t forget to subscribe for more Utah and worldwide adventures!
