Over 200,000 for my doctorate and I don’t even have undergrad debt. Yeah… student loan debt is out of control
maybe don’t go in to 80K of college debt. ridiculous to be pissed off you can’t waive a wand and erase debt. it shifts to someone else, it doesn’t disappear. I don’t want to pay for your obligations.

I don’t know much about college tuition; I come from a country with free education. However, now that you have the system that you have with student loans and so on, wouldn’t you prefer a system where people can’t erase their debt by declaring bankruptcy right after graduating, right?

Just don’t ever go to school cuz you can’t get rid of student debt start companies in Delaware the first state where you have immunity from disclosing who owns the company and run the company’s build them up build credit then eventually run them into the ground and bankrupt them will not affect your personal credit and free money, Merica!!!

Powerful industry players change the rules of the game through back room political influence, then frame failing them as a moral failure. People fail them in droves, so a moral panic can be stirred up. This allows the introduction or even more changes, "protecting" said big industry players from supposedly irresponsible and morally reprehensible individuals (key word) bad behavior. No systemic problem is ever acknowledged.
