"Americans want to see us govern, says new DCCC chair" — Then Democratic representatives need to cross over and put McCarthy over the top to neutralize MAGA’s ability to render the US without a functioning House of Representatives. The lack of a functioning House of Representatives indicts Democrats as much as it does Republicans because both place partisan infighting over the public interest. MAGA’s ability to render the House inoperative is a threat to democracy far beyond anything MAGA did after the 2020 election. This is furthest from the mind of the lady being interviewed. Its sails miles above her partisan head.
The Democrats are to be particularly singled out on this because they are aligned with MAGA when they vote "No" on McCarthy. The two groups concur, at the expense of the public interest. The play here is to crossover so that the US House of Representatives can conduct the public’s business. Whether the Speaker is McCarthy or someone else does not matter; there will still be two years of gridlock. We all know this.
After backing MAGA extremists in Republican primaries, DCCC leaders like this lady are too parochial to do the same thing here by backing McCarthy to nail the coffin shut on MAGA in the House.
If international events tomorrow require the United States of America to declare war, it won’t be able to do so because partisan bickering has rendered the U.S. House of Representatives "off-line".
Republicans can’t govern when they’re ungovernable themselves. They’re too busy with factional infighting for full control of the Party.
