And I love how much his family is a good sport about all this too, and how much everyone loves Adam Sandler. A bit different then say, some other celebrity roasts I’ve watched with my fam, like the Shatner roast a few years back where one could feel some uh other undercurrents.

Sandler really is a special guy and an American gem. I was at my Ralphs grocery store in Hollywood around 2008. I saw William H Macy pull up there on a Motorcycle. I think Sandler bought that Motorcycle for him and all the other co-stars on the movie Wild Hogs.

Laughing out loud at David’s bit, then laughing with tears over Dana’s story, and then Rob Schneider’s was funny and brought it home with so much heart that brought on more tears. Their comedy, especially Adam’s, has often been like good medicine through rough/sad times. Yep, glad they’re still around making us laugh and growing old with us. ♥
Wow. Did not see that one coming, Rob Schneider. Thought it was so well done. These are great comics of our time…Spade, Carvey and Schneider…paying tribute to another great one….Sandler.

To hear a speech and performance from a friend like Rob Schneider’s would mean more than the Mark Twain Prize, that’s how you’d know you have succeeded in life.
80s and 90s was comedy gold! All the comedy giants we see here came up from that time. It was none stop laughters growing up in those times.
These guys all performed the highest class of comedy. Legends. I’m lucky to have grown up watching them live on tv.

We had a young friend who was dying of cancer. He loved Adam Sandler and someone arranged a call as a dying wish for this young man. Adam could not have been more gracious or kind. He kept the conversation light and kept it moving. He was on vacation in Hawaii with his family at December holiday times yet took time out to have a fairly substantial conversation with our young friend. I gained a whole new appreciation for Adam. He deserves all the praise he gets.
