ABANDONED Places in Arizona – Master Planned Community

ABANDONED Places in Arizona – Master Planned Community

We visited an abandoned master planned community in Arizona, this place has been abandoned since the housing crisis of 2008.

The Mohave County APPROVED the Silverado Ranch Master Planned Community in 2006. The developers had purchased
4,800 acres of land outside Kingman, AZ. They immediately began to grade, and build the models along with 15 homes.

The community had plans for more than 12,000 homes, an 18-hole golf course, with more than 1,600 acres of commercial development & schools.

The project was scratched in 2008 due to the U.S Housing crash, soon after plans for a 1 Billion dollar solar plant was approved by the county.

Unfortunately, the developer never filed an application with the Arizona Corporate Commission, and the plant was never built.

MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WASTED!!!

That’s what happens when you want a million dollars an acre just saying

Democrats steal tax dollars for ‘solar’ so Democrats can put ‘solar’ on their properties, but never do… Why is that?

The housing crisis of 2008 still makes me sick to my stomach. So many dreams were killed. People lost their jobs, money (401s) and houses. Not to mention those who killed themselves over their losses. May God heal anyone who is still suffering over that time period. Thank you "living in Las Vegas" for the video. – From AZ.

Homes don’t need a billion dollar government utility to power up homes there. Each house could be fitted with its own off the grid power using solar, and propane.. Rats have moved in with the broken widows and doors ..that’s Arizona rats .. I have the same problem in Williams… All this out no where place needs are people with imagination and " Self Reliance "… Homes still look in pretty good shape.. Just need new pioneer owners and a vandal " Shotgun "

So this is Silverado Ranch…just south of I-40 on the way from Kingman to Wikieup. We just drove past there last weekend on our way to/from Vegas and there were 2 new houses under construction and lots of billboards.

A lot of times code enforçement comes in and forces people to leave for land grab purposes by the state. It’s happening all over the place. Blame the globalist for this they want the land for whatever they have plans for. It’s a shame.

  17. Amie Cross on April 29, 2020 at 5:24 pm

I don’t know why somebody doesn’t do something with it now I mean Yuma growing like hotcakes and Kingman could to some developer should come in there and fix it all up and do what they were supposed to do 12 years ago

Thank you for the information that you gave at the beginning of this I’ve seen other people go to this place and they didn’t say where it was you could probably get people to sponsor your Urban exploring if you did like this and said where the things were cuz nobody wants to support something that doesn’t tell them where it’s at

  20. DEBS CREEPY AND ABANDONED PLACES on April 29, 2020 at 5:28 pm

  22. Redefine Living on April 29, 2020 at 5:30 pm

Nice houses, I wonder why they didn’t sell them.

  23. Lemurai on April 29, 2020 at 5:30 pm

I live in a projected expansion area however, I bought several hundred acres while the price was still rock bottom to prevent stuff like that, I enjoy the beauty of the natural desert, and I don’t want any of those shitty, poorly built overpriced prefab homes around me. I’m in the process of buying several hundred more acres, these shitty quality homes are literally ruining the natural beauty of AZ.

  24. MATTHEW STEVA on April 29, 2020 at 5:31 pm

please save these homes these are really expensive home take one for your self get with the county and if the will give you one legally for free with the paper documents how often do you get go in side of a neighborhood choose a free house MAN!!!!!! that would be alsome !!!!! these would be good ranch homes a place for vocation were the family can get to gather

  29. Sean Reed on April 29, 2020 at 5:38 pm

Are these houses for sale? Let’s work on this. Many of you here are ready to bring your good attitude to rebuild and inhabit these homes. We can restore these homes and the ecosystems around them. Beautiful. We can. Join us. Look for Ecosystem Restoration Camps Community.

  30. Kristina Ragan on April 29, 2020 at 5:39 pm

There are more than 6 houses. They were 100% ready to live in and already sold before tweakers came in and destroyed them. There is poop all over cause well uhhh rats and other wild life hahaha. They were beautiful homes and plans to make a community as the owner kept building go look around those houses and yoyll find plots and burned down structures . there is SO MUCH MORE to these houses then what was listed and said. Sad.

  45. Gregory Van Der Meer on April 29, 2020 at 5:58 pm

This is right down the street from my Ranch. We just settled in here over a year ago and we have already gone through this property and seen these in person. Now that I know about this I’m so glad they never developed it whether it was homes or solar. Before you jump my case about it I used to build master planned communities but I moved out here to get away from all of that so that would have been a bummer to have it in my backyard.

Mohave, the Hottest part of the United States. You better make sure you have a lot of water or a good water source and Solar cell power because there are no utilities. Good septic Tanks.

    Ugly McMansions!

  49. YZNHIM on April 29, 2020 at 6:02 pm

I wish I would have known of this, I would have bought any of these beautiful homes and taken good care of it. Sad.

  50. Troy Brownrigg on April 29, 2020 at 6:03 pm

I doubt they ever had the water resources to supply water to all these homes. Laws have been passed to show a hundred year water supply before they can build now.
