Abandoned Arizona Mine Explored – Bradshaw Mountains

Abandoned Arizona Mine Explored – Bradshaw Mountains

We discovered an old abandoned mine while on an expedition through the Bradshaw Mountains so we checked it out. It is a pretty extensive mine with lots of cool wooden structures, ore shoots, flooded mines, ore cart rail tracks, mill site, and core samples.

It’s official name is the Swastika Mine (yes this mine was started in the 1800s before Germany made it a symbol of hate during the 1900s) it was originally a symbol of peace and prosperity. It’s an interesting place to explore but parts are flooded during certain times of the year and if you don’t have the proper equipment you can suffocate so be safe and have fun exploring

Nice videos. Off-roadin an mine explorin, perfect! Always use the right hand or left hand rule when explorin a mine. You won’t get lost that way. Watch those false floors too. You were on one or damn close when you found that winze in the middle of the floor. My in-laws live in surprise Arizona now. I can’t wait to get the yota out there an explore. Yall be safe out there

Wow the most EXTREME mine exploration video I have ever seen. You guys have balls.

  8. Newriver Troll on May 5, 2021 at 5:24 am

That mine is called the swastika mine and was primarily a gold mine. I’ve been inside it lots of times and seen lots you guys missed. The flooded tunnel you didn’t go in is not that deep or bad as it looks. If you go straight back, just past the flooded vertical tunnel on left you’ll see a ladder going up on your right. If you climb up to next level you’ll see the most amazing stoped out area, huge resevors of water and awesome mineral formations. The Desoto mine turn off at about mileage marker 14 has even more amazing n colorful mineral formations if you can find the right adit thats hidden by larger tree and dirt mound almost covering the entrance. Check out our short vids on my channel js. 👊 n 👍 for your vid. Subbed ya too…

Can you imagine all the time and effort to erected all the wood structures and supports? Where did all the wood come from?

  21. Ginger Bread on May 5, 2021 at 5:50 am

Great mine & you had great light. Thank you

  22. devilshaircut9 on May 5, 2021 at 5:52 am

This looks like The Stoddard Mine

  23. Dave Johnson on May 5, 2021 at 5:53 am

I’m guessing you’ve not done much mine exploration. My guess also is you won’t do many more . Your lighting is great but the way you maneuver is quite dangerous to your future among the living.

  24. Mike summerhill on May 5, 2021 at 5:54 am

hey Guys if your going to explore, please be educated on proper terminology and safe practices and know the workings of a mine so the people who are knowledgeable and those that aren’t know that you know what you are doing in a mine. I have 30 years exploring mines. So when narrarating provide accurate information. Have fun and be safe.

  25. Ginger Bread on May 5, 2021 at 5:56 am

I will keep an eye out. Thank you for writing me.

Didn’t take too much to find it. By chance do you have an interior map of it? It would really help us if you did 🙂

Are there any videos where the producer is on a hunt for minerals ? Seems all these vids are geared toward finding the end of the mine and movin on ?! I prospect. I literally drive by here once a month. Crazy freaky and interesting. Does anyone know the history of the mine?

  31. Retired Renegade Adventures on May 5, 2021 at 6:10 am

As always, great job. When I was there I wanted to do the flooded one too. I did not find Adit 2 though, so I guess I have to go back now!
