When I was swimming in Boulder Creek I saw lots of gold looking flakes on the creek bed. It’s everywhere.

It is beautiful up there. The cool high altitude air is one thing I wish we had here in the Black Hills. If it is hot at home it will still be hot at most of our high elevations here. Happy prospecting.

Normally when I hit up a river I’m looking for all the other cool minerals. Can’t wait to give it a try next time I’m out. I’m subbing.

Last time I was in breckenridge I saw a sweet spot lots of black sand right after a small waterfall in the bend of the creek.
I actually live like an hour from this general area, I have found some pretty good gold/

My ex girlfriend had a secret spot I could never find.
Trick with gravel bars is two fold.
First take a magnet, that helps narrow the line of concerntrated heavies.
Second dig down until you hit a silt layer.
Your not going to be much of a miner. If your scared of digging up a weed. And if that dead tree was in my way ? It would be split and stacked next to my shop. Have a blessed day 🙏
there is another national park in Colorado where we find nuggets in exposed bedrock.
If you want to try a really good gold pan, try the Gold Claw. It’s faster than what you tried in this video, and I think you will be impressed.
