Trick with gravel bars is two fold.
First take a magnet, that helps narrow the line of concerntrated heavies.
Second dig down until you hit a silt layer.
Cuz’s spot is STILL her secret spot, even from you🤣. But your right, a day with a gold pan in your hand and soggy feet is better than being in ANY city.

It is beautiful up there. The cool high altitude air is one thing I wish we had here in the Black Hills. If it is hot at home it will still be hot at most of our high elevations here. Happy prospecting.

If you want to try a really good gold pan, try the Gold Claw. It’s faster than what you tried in this video, and I think you will be impressed.

there is another national park in Colorado where we find nuggets in exposed bedrock.

Just subscribed! After gold panning in Breckinridge and South Dakota I have been hooked, and I am looking forward to buying the gold panning kit and some pay dirt from your website!
The “BestDamGoldPan” is a pretty good pan. For low water and you don’t have to classify it. Just remove huge rocks, but you can really shake it harder from side to side. Once you get it to cons, bring all the material back to the main pan and use the 2” corners to fine it down. Yes I still prefer ol’ Garret!
