[4K] Largest Hole in the World – Bingham Canyon Mine – 60 fps
A visit to the largest man-made hole in the world, the Bingham Canyon copper mine.
I made a few mistakes in my voice-over. The dump truck close up was actually of a 320 ton model, identifiable by the red lip on the front of the dump bed. Additionally the machine I thought was a 4100XPC was actually a 2800XPC, a slightly smaller model. The 4100XPC (#98) is up on the left side of the pit and there is a significant amount of footage of it in this video.
I hail all the way from Brazil. Amazing and very informative video! Excellent job ! also work with minings !
And to think I drove right through Salt Lake City on a solo vacation back in 2018. If I had known about this mine, I would have made plans to tour this place. Looks very cool.
Why is there no people outside the vehicles?
I remember my first time going to the bottom of this pit to get in my truck..
This video was great! This was a Sunday Drive regular, when we lived at the bottom of the hill in Herriman.
Amazing !
Thanks for showing unedited footage of truck loading. Too many mining videos have to many cuts in there. I’ve been there a few times when I worked for Rio Tinto. Nice bunch of people.
great job thanks
they ALL look like micro machines in a giant sandlot

Why is there a school bus at the bottom, don’t they know about child labor laws?
BIG PIT
A lot of trucks sitting around doing nothing. Coffee is cheaper than diesel, park em up lads.
I would love to take a trials motorbike for a razz round there .
I remember looking down from the old visitors center, wondering why the group of little cars were painted yellow when I realized they were full size school buses.
The dump trucks are the size of a 2 story home.
The biggest darkest hole in the world π…. π³ aka my ex wife…..
The video show no justice to these trucks there a size of a house
I went there a few years ago. It was not open to visitors, so we hiked all the way to a peak to take a look at it.
Beautiful and detailed footage! What camera and lenses were you shooting? Can’t wait to visit here. Visitor center is currently closed.
