32. Lead Mine another Utah Ghost Town.
Heading West toward Bingham through Copperton down the hill you come to the little town of Lead Mine, it is a ghost town now once had a few businesses a few houses and one-time home of the precipitation plant where leaching process tool place. The road stops here the canyon filled in with overburden. Became a ghost town with the success of the Bingham Canyon mine Rio Tinto Kennecott. We take a look as it is now and show pictures of its past. Thanks to Larry Sax, Don Strack (utahrails.net) for permission to use pictures. I am in the rebuild of the crusher at this time. I have been providing the concrete for the new crusher. Yes they are building a new conveyer to join with the older one.
