21:25 you can see a small light and sort of a figure of a body
Tom Massie with gold fever went down one of the declines back when the mine was first put on the market he and his daughter along with 1 of the caretaker’s when the water was low. They made it to the 4 or 500ft level and showed a working face that was just covered with little gold veinlets, was a cool shot plus they showed the mill and the powerhouse that still had the huge diesel engine in it
I just wish I could explore mines like this, I live by a ton in Northeast pa but there all coal mines and even just by approaching the portal you get overwhelming sulphur smells for my safety I never go in but your videos inspire me

My two sons work at the active mine next door. My son Matt told me of so many interesting artifacts they have found. We are all born in Wickenburg and my family started ranching in the area in the early 1900’s. Our ranch is in the middle the rich mining area of Stanton and Octave.
Had explored here about 12-15 years ago, curator in the gift shack let us wander(at our risk) around the grounds at will. Lots of buildings with equipment still laying in place. One building used as the cook shack still had pots, pans, tables. nearby was the "hangin tree" (ironwood) used to physically hang workers that were filling their pockets with the ore. Also the one vertical shaft had a horizontal shaft on one of the levels, that had caved in trapping a few workers, their remains never recovered (so the story goes) Thanks for sharing your "gutsy" adventure…….
I’ve been to Vulture Mine several times over the years, back when you could explore the areas that you showed are being torn down (which is such a shame). I’ve wondered for years what it looked like inside the mine, and what you showed is quite amazing. Not sure if you are familiar with the site called the Glory Hole, where several miners and Burros died in a collapse in the early 1900’s.? Just curious how far from that area you think you were or if you could see any evidence of that collapse from inside? Anyway, this is one of our favorite channels! Thanks for doing what you do!

Its a cool place to visit but living there is hard i speak from experience because i currently live there and my father is manager😋 P.S anything shiny u find in a gold mine…its gold🤣🤣🤣😂 what a dumbass very untrue lolol

I went there today, too late to see much. Going back tomorrow. I’m living 11 miles this winter.
I found a place close by that shows like 30+ different named mines on the map. A few are the bull springs mine, helvetia mine, Montosa mine, and lot of others. I would love to explore them but I dont have any experience, I’d like to go with someone who knows what they are doing for my first time so I dont get myself lost etc. Any suggestions as I dont know anyone to go with.

I just finished filming my initial exploration of the lower levels of one of the hard-rock mines in Joy. Found a lot of cool stuff in there. Mining operations were halted because of WWII. There are mine openings that still have significant copper staining and veins in the daylight. I’m amazed they haven’t continued mining operations there.
If you see it you’re gonna call me stupid for not having a helmet, and you’re not wrong.

Hi Frank it’s Max from the UK we spoke Before. You would really find it interesting looking into the World War I offensive tunnelling on the Western front a lot of Canadian guys came over and formed up with engineers and form tunnel and companies they tunnelled really small offensive shafts that were only about 4’ x 18”Also listening post to listen for the Germans tunnelling in the other direction. Just really interested I know that you would find it very interesting the whole story of it and that a lot of them were Canadian but I really enjoy your channel I am big fan and keep safe “eh” haha. Awesome video guys my grandfather owned vulture in the 70s. Before i was born but i hope to go and visit there soon i get alot of good stories about that place and my grandfathers time there from my uncle🤙

Wonder if you would be venturing into any mines around Ontario, Canada anytime? We have about 81 recognized, 41 active, but apparently more than 5000 abandoned mines scattered across the province according to AMIS.
We need a Part 2, not enough time to see it all!

Very cool, the first time I went to vulture city was 1971 or 72, I was there about 5 years ago and the rumor was that the new mining was going to bulldoze vulture city,,,good to see that did not happen but from the first part of the video it says some will be bulldozed,,,hope not….good video…..Henry wickenburg from Prussia found gold there in 1862 ( I always thought its interesting that this was going on out west during the civil war) wickenburg lost his wealth due to not being paid in full when he sold the mine and spent what he had on lawyers (somethings never change) he commented suicide…

The active mining part of aren’t bull dozing over the top of everything. They are working closely with the museum side to perseve what they can. My son works for the active mine and has shown me many items on the museum side that they have found and given to them.
