#180 Exploring Fascinating Ancient Arizona Mines Rich in Minerals.
Some really old mines with awesome showings of Azurite and Malachite ( Copper and Silver) with Gly Coolness in central Arizona.
You guys have some Big Cajones to do what you just did!!!
Btw is that some Opal I see when you first climbed down? The colors are beautiful!
I want to go there. I’m in Vegas. Take me. 😉😊🙋🏽♀️
3:51 Cool looking axe.
Sorry, the temptation was just too much to resist.
From the sound of the rock being released to it hitting the water is 2.8 seconds.
That makes it 124 feet deep. (Having calculated the drag on the rock, which does slow it down a bit. The simple calculation gives 127′. But I suppose you would need to allow for slight inaccuracies in the timing, so there is a tolerance of +/- 8′ for +/- 0.1s either way. 🙂
And if you fell in, no, you probably wouldn’t be dead, but after you had bounced off the wall
a couple of times with your head, you wouldn’t be too well either! Maybe the cold of hitting the
water would bring you round, just in time to realise you were about to drown!! Oh yes, mines are such fun things. 🙂
bat brands with frank 😉
This video gave me anxiety!! 🤣🤣
well, we have this film so you were not trapped 🙂
I’ve been in Arizona for over sixty years now. There is a legend for some mine exactly like the first mine you explored. It was Supposedly so rich. They came upon a vein of pure Oreo. The only problem was is they removed the Ore it was sure to collapse. Now do you dare to go back one more time. I live one Black Canyon City AZ. There is a huge mine here. I want would love to show you. Jim BCC AZ
I live here and Spend a lot of time exploring these sites but I do not go in….ever. I appreciate that you do and I love your videos.
Those beams in the first mine are so short, so does that mean like the miners had to just crawl through the whole mine to do their jobs? That sounds awful.
Why are people afraid of bats? They are mammals.
wondering if the water in that shaft could be drinkable if you were in need?…boil, filter…fetched with a rope.
you need to carry a cordless hammer-drill with you when convenient……..
@tvrexploring what do you think?
Best man on globe from my eyes 👍👍👍👍
i want to see the episode with the spas-12
Y’all do some pretty crazy shit in some pretty crazy/awesome places, but 14:18 is when I would be officially out…..nope. Fk that, I’m done….✌️
The varying shades of green amaze me.
Scoping the stoping…………….love it
That cricket was gnarly. You guys have the coolest job
Gold ….. Is there gold ? ……We want a gold mine ….. They searched the gold and when it ran out so did they …..
looks like the entrance had collapsed. And it appears the rest has also collapsed.
this is soooo fucking dangerous. just crumbles sulfates?
14:41 gotem
I would love to locate that. What a beautiful spot!! Great job.
My family’s home town is Morenci Az my dad and me used to scout that area all the time. This brings back memories. If your still in Arizona try exploring Mulligans peak!
I have no clue.
Frank, have you ever thought of doing an episode(or just demonstrating) using a carbide lantern? i’d love to see how it was for the old timers. i know acetylene is incredibly bright, but a totally different type of light and it’d make for a neat experience
I love your videos most interesting things I’ve every watched !!! Just found yiur channel going thru all the videos
Gotta get Gly with you on some more mines if he can calm himself a little. You guys are great. Sharon is a great addition as well. You guys have balls of steel brotha. Love yous.
The blue and green are copper ores, they were definitely after copper there!
Fearless Frank you make it look to easy
Is it right? That where you find lots of rats and bats. You find venomous snakes? I’m not to botherd about confined spaces but the thought of coming face to face with a snake!! No chance!!
How often do you come across rattlesnakes!
You can’t mine if people keep dying, and it looks like they did.
Really pretty miners there. You guys do have good time messing with each other, makes for a fun video!
Not easy getting a sample out of there, you had to work at it a little bit. You found the bat cave there. Lots of the little buggers! Send Gly out there as bat bait, good idea! Those cacti are nasty! Do they just dry up and blow in there or do pack rats carry all that in there. Good stuff, thanks.
Holy mine shaft! You found the batcave. 🙂
where is this? id love to claim it
wow that is crumbly stuff! I think allot of guys would turn white if you tried to get them crawling in there! haha 🙂
You guys got more nerve than a high diver!!
Come to Parker AZ about 20 miles west of there…. a lot of big mines… to big and deep for me
My father used to work for the government and drove around the Arizona desert fencing off old mining holes. Pretty cool to see inside some of these.
I used to see a lot of those seemingly aimless holes exploring the hills of Tombstone, AZ. I went to highschool out there and we would see what looked like old ancient rock paintings and holes. Some scary deep others seemingly random less shallow holes. Most of them straight down. Are they looking for veins of ore?
Hey Frank, would like to look into staking those mines. 5058014653 text a location please, I’ll definitely remember ya if it "pans" out !
Those mines were done back in that good day when men were actually men and they were proud of doing a hard days work. Now it would be an open pit mine and today’s work force would have to have 6 weeks vacation and no more than a 30 hour work week or they would be off on stress leave from all the dangers of running an excavator and snap chatting. This guy is so easy going. Pretty sure if he ever gets stuck in an old mine he’ll just text his family to say goodbye and tell them , don’t be upset at least I saved you the burial cost !!!
my thing is, i’d be overwhelmed with the though of a collapse and being trapped. omfg i really should get back to the caves in my area and get over this fear. i explored them when i was in my 20’s now in my late 40’s and i think to myself WTF was i thinking back then lol. THANKS FRANK!
Igneous, beautiful mine! Thanks. You said indigenous sorry I’m a dick.
I <3 <3 all of the minerals in this video BEAUTIFUL!!
I used to think there wasn’t much that would keep Frank out of a mine. Now we know some overgrown burrs are enough to stop him where he stands. 🌵
😂🤣😂🤣
Do , did, can or will you show the locations of these so they can be inquired of?
I tried looking up some of the names you listed but could not get anything concrete on any of them from just the names, would really like to look into them seriously because I have a powerful hankerin to get myself a mine or two!
The accent and mumbling remind me of the old timer in the film Blazing Saddles speaking "genuine frontier gibberish" !!!
