A massive wildfire now estimated to have destroyed over 500 homes continues its charge across the densely populated Colorado front range. Winds over 60mph are fanning the fire into neighborhoods and moving at such a rapid pace items such as RVs and cars are being engulfed in seconds.

Why can’t they bury all electric power lines underground like they do in some neighborhoods? Seems like it would solve a lot of fires caused by downed power lines!!

This was a grass fire originally. This type of conflagration creates its own weather. The wind is rushing in to replace the air that’s fueling the flames.
We have finally recieved long overdue snow I pray you all get blasted with a ice cold blizzard and put that fire out !!!!

I live about 4-8 miles from this in Westminster. This is awful but luckily the winds have died down and the fire officials have been able to fight this. I grew up here and this is the first time a fire has been this close…..or in December. We should have snow by now. The winds today were nuts!!
