I was prospecting in that area last winter. Didn’t get that much gold but I did like the Geology in that area. I was over by Bagdad in that same trip. Going back this winter to. I live in Wyoming so the Arazona and south Nevada is a nice way to get out of the cold.

  7. Evan Osburn on May 21, 2022 at 2:17 am

Would have be glad to see the bit where you got "emotional" about rock hounding
Being passionate about something has different facets, it’s not always the typical hype or stoked that is easily displayed
Decent people respond well to true emotions, especially those that share the passion. No judgment you do you

damn how that would be a dream come true, to hike with a geologist who loves to explore.

  31. JFK68Media™️©️®️ on May 21, 2022 at 2:39 am

Parts of that Date Creek area are State Trust Lands, Know the rules before you go there. You are NOT allowed to remove anything, let me repeat, ANYTHING from state trust lands. You must be on BLM lands. There are very small pockets of BLM land out there so KNOW where you are. Fines and penalties are heavy. Happy Responsible Hunting. When digging holes, Please cover them after you are done. There is much to be seen and had out there so please be Responsible and please pack out your trash and bury your waste. Thanks.

  32. Bill z on May 21, 2022 at 2:39 am

  34. Kim Toy on May 21, 2022 at 2:40 am

I’m in the SE, and I just got so excited watching this that I have to comment mid-video: None of my friends understood the bacon rock! I found a whole slew while hunting a river’s gravel bar for agatized coral! yaaaaas that just made my week 🤸🕳️! love the videos! thanks for sharing

  35. Cracker Jax on May 21, 2022 at 2:42 am

Careful for snakes, lol. I always get so nervous when you bend down to quickly grab something. I almost got struck yesterday. I’m on the NM side of the AZ/NM border, up on a mesa in a landlocked area of the Gila and Apache. I’m trying to learn geology and have found some really cool spots to fill my pockets with good rocks to polish. Nothing like you found here yet, but I have some good ideas where to hike to and where no one goes 🙂

  36. Mizgin Heseno on May 21, 2022 at 2:42 am

    🌹

  37. Rinus Pauel on May 21, 2022 at 2:45 am

i live in phoenix and while hiking have seen so many exposed quarts veins and clusters in the area. Never really encountered too many terminated crystals, then again i might not know how to properly look for them. Check out quartz ridge trail in phoenix, its absolutely insane the size and amount of quartz you can find there.
What do u recommend i should start reading or learning from if i want to get into rock hounding?

  38. CGT Prospecting Adventures on May 21, 2022 at 2:45 am

You are a nerd for sure 😜

  39. Meteorite Hunter Gemstone on May 21, 2022 at 2:47 am

    Meteorite Hunter Gemstone 💎💎☄️☄️👍

  40. Paul Pecoraro on May 21, 2022 at 2:49 am

Awesome! Beautiful and a geologist. Keep it up.

  41. Ike Stoddard on May 21, 2022 at 2:50 am

Did you find some tourmaline in matrix as well? I see striated black that seems to be it.

  42. dfg77ii on May 21, 2022 at 2:50 am

    4:37 "Leaverite" lol 🤣

  43. Todd Daugherty on May 21, 2022 at 2:51 am

And here I had thought I had found all of the cool rock-head channels. Obviously saving the best for last. First, don’t call yourself a nerd… it implies weirdness. We are not weird, we are special. I’ve been doing this since I was 8 years old and I will be 67 in a couple of weeks. For almost 10 years, I have not been able to collect due to health issues but I get to live vicariously though channels like yours. Besides, if I put one more rock on my property, it would sink into the earth……deep. I explored a lot in that area years ago so I think I know where you are at. You are too young to have picked up all of that geology lingo on your own so where did you go to school. Looking forward to binge-watching the rest of your videos.

  44. Andrew Bastien on May 21, 2022 at 2:54 am

    Love it!!

  45. Rachel Rose on May 21, 2022 at 2:55 am

The rocks you’re finding that look like they have faces on them are Native American Effigy stones 👍

  46. D Maciel on May 21, 2022 at 2:58 am

make sure is not RADIOACTIVE mines!!!!….
search BEFORE YOU GO THERE.. 😖😖😖

  47. Andrew C on May 21, 2022 at 3:00 am

    Is that McDowell mountains

  48. John Beck on May 21, 2022 at 3:00 am

Cool! Maybe I can find the area. Think I may have found it but not enough details.

  49. Katelyn Barnett on May 21, 2022 at 3:03 am

I live in Tucson and live ab 30 minutes away from a big mountain. I’ve found tons of quartz on hikes but I would like to see what wake I can find. Any tips on crystal hunting for a beginner?

  50. Lee Travathan on May 21, 2022 at 3:03 am
