Cool video. It’s fun to see rockhounding in other areas. I’m used to hunting the Great Lakes, so I’m in the water most of the time. The desert is completely different. I also find rounded rocks, not angular rocks or crystals.

    Love it!!

  4. tribulationcoming on January 20, 2022 at 3:16 pm

The source may produce some yellow metallic stuff!!!

  5. John Beck on January 20, 2022 at 3:16 pm

Cool! Maybe I can find the area. Think I may have found it but not enough details.

  6. Evan Osburn on January 20, 2022 at 3:20 pm

Would have be glad to see the bit where you got "emotional" about rock hounding
Being passionate about something has different facets, it’s not always the typical hype or stoked that is easily displayed
Decent people respond well to true emotions, especially those that share the passion. No judgment you do you

We have hunted Date Creek Crystal’s for 20 years and it never ceases to produce nice quartz crystal points of all sizes, some as clear as glass to stained and milky. Usually find some nice perfectly cubed dark brown mineral that I’m thinking are pyrite pseudo maybe. One trip I found a batch of extra sparkly, small dark red crystals all along a big chunk of host rock. Still not sure what that is. And a little bit of chrysocolla too. Where was your screw driver for popping out crystals, and a bag, fanny pack or 5 gallon bucket to load up??
The west side of the road at the main crystal hill area, has crystals also. Not as much float all over the ground but we’ve found some very nice, clear, guy finger sized points and glass like, small points that I make earrings out of. Great video, look forward to seeing others.

My girlfriend was a big fan of yours on tiktok before she turned me on to you! I’ve been watching your YouTube videos and am really glad she showed me your channel! I believe I found this place and will be taking her out to hopefully find some specimens for her collection! Beautiful channel, and really nice to see fellow rock nerds doing what we do! Keep it up! ❤️

  18. Wolfmom on January 20, 2022 at 3:41 pm

Do you have coordinates of where you were at? I showed my daughter your video and she really loves crystals and wants to go hunt for some. I recently started watching your videos and I really enjoy them!
My family and I watch a lot of the rock hounding videos on YouTube because we enjoy being outside in nature and exploring and hunting for unique rocks and crystals.
I particularly enjoy watching your videos because you’re so informative.

I was waiting for you to find a gold nugget. Maybe next time. Great video!!

  22. Todd Daugherty on January 20, 2022 at 3:43 pm

And here I had thought I had found all of the cool rock-head channels. Obviously saving the best for last. First, don’t call yourself a nerd… it implies weirdness. We are not weird, we are special. I’ve been doing this since I was 8 years old and I will be 67 in a couple of weeks. For almost 10 years, I have not been able to collect due to health issues but I get to live vicariously though channels like yours. Besides, if I put one more rock on my property, it would sink into the earth……deep. I explored a lot in that area years ago so I think I know where you are at. You are too young to have picked up all of that geology lingo on your own so where did you go to school. Looking forward to binge-watching the rest of your videos.

  23. TheCaptainShow on January 20, 2022 at 3:44 pm

Parts of that Date Creek area are State Trust Lands, Know the rules before you go there. You are NOT allowed to remove anything, let me repeat, ANYTHING from state trust lands. You must be on BLM lands. There are very small pockets of BLM land out there so KNOW where you are. Fines and penalties are heavy. Happy Responsible Hunting. When digging holes, Please cover them after you are done. There is much to be seen and had out there so please be Responsible and please pack out your trash and bury your waste. Thanks.

I was prospecting in that area last winter. Didn’t get that much gold but I did like the Geology in that area. I was over by Bagdad in that same trip. Going back this winter to. I live in Wyoming so the Arazona and south Nevada is a nice way to get out of the cold.
