I’m curious if this was just what was on the surface on a relatively flat plane, if you dug a few feet in the ground, what would you find?

Also if quartz is connected with gold, if you brought a medal detector would you find some gold pieces?

**(after watching your full video you kind of answered may question about the gold)

From what you said it sounds like there are gold in that area. Would it be gold pieces or ore?

  6. chris peterson on May 16, 2023 at 10:19 am

    Which area ?

  7. Rinus Pauel on May 16, 2023 at 10:19 am

i live in phoenix and while hiking have seen so many exposed quarts veins and clusters in the area. Never really encountered too many terminated crystals, then again i might not know how to properly look for them. Check out quartz ridge trail in phoenix, its absolutely insane the size and amount of quartz you can find there.
What do u recommend i should start reading or learning from if i want to get into rock hounding?

Ironically, the wild life is closer to civilization where the food and water is. Cymbiotic.

  13. Karl Barros on May 16, 2023 at 10:25 am

  15. chris peterson on May 16, 2023 at 10:26 am

You should be more specific bc people can get hurt by snakes scorpions! Maybe give street or land marks like mountains names?

  16. Our Rocky Dream on the Elephant farm. on May 16, 2023 at 10:34 am

  30. SassySmchill on May 16, 2023 at 10:48 am

I’m very much enjoying your content. I have always loved rocks. But I have no clue how to identify any of my finds. They are just rocks that I love. We went hunting out by Gilabend and my husband found a little red rock. Probably nothing of value as far as the market. But huge value to me. It’s shaped like a doves heart. I’ve been asking him to get it made into a pendant for me. Recently we were looking for geodes by Wickenberg but south of Wickenberg. I had no clue how to identify them. Thanks for these videos. It’s great to get exercise but buggies/ATV’s makes it so much easier.

  31. innu on May 16, 2023 at 10:48 am

I love your unscripted natural real videos. In same place you may find some other crystals like chalcedony, termalion etc… All the best 👍

  32. Rick Beal on May 16, 2023 at 10:49 am

I just checked a on state land rockhounding is not allowed. I have won’ted to go there .but don’t want to get in trouble. The hole place looks like it is state land this place is in rock books to but it Seems to be illegal. I wish I was wrong. The state office said the fine is very large .state land is not public land. I think they are very wrong but I will respect the law.

  33. Resident Potato on May 16, 2023 at 10:52 am

How dare you assume the rock’s gender.

  34. Lilith Slytherin on May 16, 2023 at 10:54 am

Omg yes! I’ve even found smoky amethyst 🥰 Wickenburg is top notch for rockhounding

  35. Modern Muse Salon, LLC on May 16, 2023 at 10:55 am

    omg where is this!!!!!!

  36. Cherrycola on May 16, 2023 at 10:56 am

    You talk really well

  37. Land of Saguaros on May 16, 2023 at 10:57 am

Haha! 🙂 I can hear the guy in the background saying put it back, as I’m sure he knows you you will take home every cute rock that you find. I’ll bet you have a house full of rocks. Maybe a couple too many according to the person in the background? I’m the same way though, I get impulsive about cool looking rocks. Now I’m not a rock scientist but every time myself and kids go camping we bring back one cool rock to add to our collection in the front yard. I love you channel. Thank you

  38. Rachel Rose on May 16, 2023 at 10:59 am

The rocks you’re finding that look like they have faces on them are Native American Effigy stones 👍

  39. Christina Spooner on May 16, 2023 at 10:59 am

    Can you leave your coordinates?

  40. Jacob Fox on May 16, 2023 at 11:01 am

Elley here in the mountains of eastern Kentucky under a waterfall my sister has been collecting a stone that’s very odd. If you hold it in your hand it’s like a dark color but at night with a blacklight it glows and it’s a beautiful color. And the odd part is this the only place these rocks are at is under the waterfall no where else in that creek has that rock it’s only under the waterfall. What kind of rock is it and why is it only found under the waterfall??????

  41. Dan Jones on May 16, 2023 at 11:01 am

Bringing the kids? Any concerns with Rattle Snakes etc… ?

  42. chatter n on May 16, 2023 at 11:01 am

That ares’s well known for gold. Those big quartz fields, especially the rose quartz areas, could have gold ‘in’ the quartz! Take a Falcon MD20 Gold detector, $265.00. or a Minelab Equinox 800!

Careful for snakes, lol. I always get so nervous when you bend down to quickly grab something. I almost got struck yesterday. I’m on the NM side of the AZ/NM border, up on a mesa in a landlocked area of the Gila and Apache. I’m trying to learn geology and have found some really cool spots to fill my pockets with good rocks to polish. Nothing like you found here yet, but I have some good ideas where to hike to and where no one goes 🙂
