So, a fun fact for you. The old mines that are now closed, are seeing some resurgence by modern miners. New technology allows us to extract ore (gold, silver, etc) from rocks that miners previously would have considered too costly to bother with. I personally know people who own an old silver mine, and have been working through the ‘tailings’ to produce high quality silver. Most of the tailings being low quality ore that the original miners simply discarded.
great video, keep them coming, from Australia…
Don’t discount yourself, you explored dangerous surface areas some people may be leery to check out up close. Next time if you learn what these are ⬇️ and throw out terms such as head frame, ore chute, winch, ore bin, ore carts, trestle, mine shaft, winze , portal most will not be the wiser 😎
Another great adventure; thanks for posting. I went on line looking for property for sale.
I think that sound was drones
This guy has balls..wrong step on that old mining equipment..bye..bye..
Those are wolves or dogs for sure. Coyotes sound almost like whale noises.
Look at all the snow! Must be June in Colorado!
Fascinating – thanks.
Most of the mines are abandoned but the land is still privately owned
That’s a Hard Rock Mine ‼️
Watch for the Tommy Knockers 👍
Great place to get some drone footage
I grew up neat Cripple Creek. Its a BEAUTIFUL area!!!!
This was very interesting!!! Thanks for sharing! Pat
Pack of wolves…its cool…its all good..grrrrr..oh no my throat..
Very cool video. I like historic mining any towns.
What was all that banging sound STARTED before he picked up the old overalls? Ghosts of the miners?
Man, I’d love to roam the old mine camp with a metal detector. Maybe someone dropped a nugget or an old coin, or buried some near their house to use at some later date.
6:05 looks like Mike Myers left his mask on the ground there after Halloween. Rock?
No vi ni una sola pepita de oro o por lo menos la mina de donde se extraía el oro.
Couldn’t resist playing "Gold Dust Woman" while watching this fascinating look at how greedy our forebears were…reminds me also of "Deadwood" but this view is much more genteel.
Bro, stop playing with clothing when you find bits. Nothing good you will find. You may find the opposed….
Nice little bat door! Ventilation shaft, for sure! Too small I would think, to be a portal. Would love to go do some exploring with you if you’re in the area sometime(Pittsburgh, and North of it)! There’s still alot of places I haven’t explored here in PA. Been here for 9 years, haven’t explored much. My wife’s family is from central PA. Been to a couple places over there.
This reminds me of Annesburg from Red Dead Redemption 2! ^^ So cool to see ancient history come to life in video games! Been watching your channel for a while now and I always love your explorations, Chris! Thanks so much for bringing us such amazing content and discoveries over the years! Eternally grateful! ^^
I LOOOOOOOOVE Victor Co… I want to buy a house out there. My grandparents used to own 100 acres on nipple mountain (LOL) I know. Glad I found your chan, makes me nostalgic.
Here’s a link to that other video with the Donkeys I was talking about – https://youtu.be/yuKRZcjXdl8
You would make an excellent traveling companion.
loves to say "Who knows?" you. you should know.
Loved the video!
You have to realise where the Gold is really going to..
Trust me it’s not the bankers, it the 👽 that need it.
I’d have a metal detector over all that rubble as they would of missed so much back in the day
Wow
"Coyotes?" 😅😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 Uh, no… wolves. Definitely wolves. (You’re such a great kid-no offense – I’m 68, pretty much everyone is a kid.)
Our money used to be backed by gold. Now it’s backed by nothing but hopes and dreams. This country is screwed.
Dude that was wolves. I was a little scared and worried for you when that part came up !!!! I don’t know exactly how remote this place is, bit you’re lucky to get out alive especially if you did this alone by yourself. Please consider getting a hiking partner when you go out to these places. A pack of wolves can be extremely lethal and there is nothing you can do to protect yourself even if you carried a firearm.
Wonder why that place wasn’t taken over by another to continue the mining I wonder what happened to the partners after they closed the operation or what lead to they’re decision to end the venture
You were just west of the Vindicator Mining District. It’s about a 2 1/2 mile walk, which is really cool. But , they don’t want you leaving the trail.
The bed in house is called a box spring mattress
I’m glad you uploaded this, I really like it !!
That heavy thing is a resistor bank. Used to reduce voltage or for breaking motors that are being used to control the decent of a hoist.
Hello, I enjoyed your video of Victor. I used to be a city councilman in Victor. Owned a business or two while I was there. One thing, people can tend to be a bit territorial about the place. You’ve been places there that I haven’t even been. I was afraid of getting shot at. There is an active company there called the C,C, & V. They take about 25,000 ounces a month.
Very cool
You remind me of Chris Pratt, the actor/trainer in Jerastic World. Kinda sound like him too but, now, I know you aren’t. Btw be safe, please…
Coyote’s wolf’s? Haha idk brother sounds like a group of dogs
Interesting and dangerous for kids to go up there and fall into many mine shafts. You have to be a mountain goat not to slip and slide.
So many cool places to see in this world.
All that banging? Was that ghosts!???
Мне нравятся такие заброшки побольше такого видео класс
That Levi is worth thousands
There probly still bits of gold around there.! ??
Be careful out there in the wilds.
