LOST GOLD Mine Discovered in Utah

LOST GOLD Mine Discovered in Utah

72 year old Gary Holt and his son say that they have discovered the long lost Josephine Mine in the mountains of North Eastern Utah.

The mine first appears in Spanish Jesuit documentation in 1650. Spanish priests worked the fabled mine for three decades, when in 1680 they were forced to abandon the mine after being driven out of the New Mexico Territory by the uprising Pueblo Indians.

The location of the mine has been lost ever since, though it has long since been believed that the lost mine was located near Hoyt’s Peak in north Eastern Utah.

Lost or not the mine is said to be the most valuable gold mine in the world.
Mr. Holdt says he has yet to discover gold in the cavern, though he has obtained a mining permit and said he has pulled millions of dollars worth of calcite crystals from the shaft, which he markets as “Goldite”.

Officials say that the “Goldite” mining operation is little more than a ruse to allow Holt to continue looking for gold.

Holdt says “the hunt for gold is still in active development”

Holdt suggests that the mine could contain 1.7 billion in gold ore.

What do you think, Has Holdt and son found the Lost Josephine mine or have they just lost their minds? Tell us what you think in the comments section below.

The priests didn’t mine, they forced the natives to mine and they were pushed out by the Utes, not the Pueblos.

The Calcite has Value, and they should be free to continue mining it.

If it is a MINE and Not an Old CAVE. Specimens are NOT To Be REMOVED From Caves.

well….. Gary Holt didnt "find" the mine. The mine has been no secret for more than 50 years. The old owner mearly let the mining claim lapse, Gary noticed it and placed his own claim. I know Gary, Hell of a nice guy. Just had some dutch oven dinner with him after bumping into him and his son last month. Best of luck to them i say 🙂

Mining scams are the second oldest "job" after prostitution.

3000 pounds of calcite worth its weight in gold at $30,000,000 dollars, marketed at "goldcite" 😂

    Gotcha. 🤔

    Scammers go scamming. 😭

    Brewer Cave” of Giants.
Isaac Morley was an important person in the early Utah Mormon Church
here in Manti, Utah and he knew where a lot of ancient burials were. Of course the Brigham Young mandate forbid the members to tamper with these ancient burials and most of the LDS people obeyed their Church leaders on this. Isaac Morley was commissioned by Brigham to work with the Ute Chief Walkara (Walker) to be taken into the mountains to an ancient mine that had vast amounts of gold bars and gold veins in it and bring some back for the Church and he made many trips doing this. Perhaps this gold was left there by the Spanish and before them by the ancient race of Giants that lived here before! Finally when Morely became too old and weak to continue the gold transport commission went to Thomas Rhoades. Morley knew of most of the many ancient burials here in Sanpete County (Utah) and said so. This knowledge has been around for a very long time and Earl John Brewer apparently understood this well.  http://www.modernmormonmen.com/2013/09/theres-gold-in-them-there-hills.html

  28. rovemink on April 29, 2020 at 5:11 pm

they found a hole with no gold in it. why would they think its the Josephine mine.

  29. Brandon Holt on April 29, 2020 at 5:12 pm

Go to "Terry Carter’s interview with Gary Holt" for update and website report on new discoveries concerning search for gold . The ruse has come true? or have I lost my mind? Here he got it wrong, it was an observation from the old Spanish Waybill describing the gold and silver bars abandoned because of hostiles that would total today as one point seven billion not as ore as was here misreported. and the name of the calcite crystals was "Goldcite", not goldite. The media has been known to screw it up.

  30. WildDigger on April 29, 2020 at 5:16 pm

Glad to see you post a video Russ.. I have missed them. I hope they found it but kinda doubt it cause if they did gold would be coming out already. Unless he is stashing the gold in worry that the government or someone will try and take it. If that is the case I hope he buries it for us to find with detectors.. LOL.

  31. Danger Dub on April 29, 2020 at 5:16 pm

    Gary indeed found it.

  32. Lynn Thomas on April 29, 2020 at 5:17 pm

I hope they found it! If so it would be the first profitable gold ever found in NE Utah—Don’t believe me? Look it up! Yeah! I know! The legends! If I had a dollar for every legend maybe I’d be retired now. Oh wait, I am retired. Still wish I had those dollars though!

  33. Travel Treasure on April 29, 2020 at 5:18 pm

So far the "authorities" aka USFS and governmental entities says "not likely at all" however you always have to be skeptical of what the government says in regards to land rights usage and such.

  36. Travel Treasure on April 29, 2020 at 5:21 pm

We’ll have to wait and see I guess. My opinion and that’s all it is is an opinion is that if it were the Lost Josephine Mine, gold would have already been coming out of it. Thanks for the kind words Lawdogg1digr! -Russ

Gary Holt has managed to obtain a claim amidst a lot of bureaucratic BS. More power to him. I have seen photos of the goldcite (not goldite as claimed here) after it is formed into cabachons. It makes a beautiful piece of jewelry! I believe he may be close to the Josephine, but I don’t think he is right on it, however it could be among his several claims in the area.

  39. Darla Seefluth on April 29, 2020 at 5:25 pm

I’d like to hear what the experts say about the probability of gold being found there.
