Spooky! Exploring Abandoned Mines Colorado

Chest deep snow and a harrowing descent into the old abandoned mine shaft!
Is this the squatters fabled gold mine!?
The story goes; “There is a long haired scruffy fellow, living in an abandoned gold mine here in Summit County Colorado. Once a week he ventures into Whole Foods n buys $800 worth of tasty food. He pays with crisp $100 bills and always has a raggedy empty burlap sack tucked into his waist”.
He must be selling his high grade gold ore here locally to someone.
I want to find him! and make friends!!
Lets Go!
How many old mines will I have to search
Will I find the Lost Hobo or the Forrest Fenn Treasure First!?

I AM GOING TO SAVE YOUR LIFE. GET A BETTER FLASHLIGHT AND USE MULTIPLE LIGHT SOURCES.
Have you ever found gold when inside one of theses caves?
Love this vid, it’s so informative!š
Im a rock-hound, i would love to meet you if you want to go back to this cave
Interesting. Good to learn about the minerals down there and the perspective from the original miners chasing the vein.
What camera are you using??
Great job bro — you explain and show — Thanks
Must be warm enough for the moths at the ceiling and cold enough to freeze at the floor
Love the videos. Hello from Saguache county.
That was awesome man! That would be freaky on your own
The Moths that you touched will never fly again and will die.
Do you ever go prospecting up left hand canyon in Boulder county if so I’d love to go I been prospecting up there all summer and found a gold telluride. I haven’t been in any mines though just around them
You shouldn’t touch moth wings, our oils are detrimental.
That’s crazy who lives in Colorado
š
DUDE!! DID NONE OF YOU SPOT THE KID’S GLOVES?!!! I WOULD REPORT THAT TO AUTHORITIES!!š¤
Thanks for explaining what kind of mineral we were looking at!! That’s very interesting!! Use to live in Colorado springs. Our weekend excursions were usually cripple creek and victor . I can feel
history in old mining towns !! Love the old west!!
What the hell was that?
I’m new to exploring for different minerals, gems, etc. What advice do you have for a beginner? And also, how do you find open claims?
If you laced up your boots, your feet would stay drier.
Nice find man. I would take some samples from that ore shoot. Looks like the stoped it out but without goin up there we’ll never know. I’d check the ground under the cross ties too. Could have good stuff goin down, but didn’t see any winzes so.?
Have you searched any areas in leadville for the fenn treasure? I used to live in leadville and will be moving back very soon.
Thank you very much for your description of the minerals while mine exploring too few explorers say much while on their explore.
This was an awesome video! Had my attention right to the end. I’m kinda binging on your videos now and got three in before I had to remind myself to go comment on the first one lol. Quick question.. I’m in Fremont County (yay..) and I was wondering if you are exploring public land in this video? Are you sure the mine isn’t owned? Around here, people will chase you down just for panning on thier land in the Arkansas River! Kinda makes it hard to pan when all the land on the rivers around here are claimed. I’m a beginner if you can’t tell!
I’ve only briefly explored old mines in Colorado, but it is quite fun! I am gonna get a toxic gas monitor, and better safety equipment. I would love to explore with you next summer sometime. I’m in Gunnison county but travel around a bit
Very cool old mine. Hi from Garfield County.
GPS coordinates please??
Wow, that was fun! Walking in that heavy snow could not have been easy. I got the chills watching this
Good money in unique stone.
For beads or jewlery
Have you heard of any gold mines above the million $ highway in ouray???
It’s called an adit not a tunnel.
Excellent! Thank you. Sorry I know your still Buried in snow up their. Beware the sring run off this yr. Be safe
I think that was just ice, not stalagmites.
šŖšŖšŖ sweet awesome adventure
Ahhhhh! Frightening! Iām glad you made a video of this…too sketchy and cold for me. I kept waiting to see a bear! I thought your gloves on the ground were bones at first lol
America "NOW" is like Wiemer Germany , with NO HITLER !
Enjoy your videos, very informative!! I know of a few mines in Idaho springs that I explored as a teenager that go on for miles and miles. Wish I would have known more back then!
it would be wise to test this mine, it could be loaded
The sound editing is laughably bad and quite annoying/distracting at times. Love the attention to the minerals on in the mine. Most mine explores I watch just flash by interesting rock formations while they look for ore carts and boring stuff. š
