Hey Keithy, I’m always watching hahaha. Persistence, hard work, and always rocking up to do you job and doing with passion will get you places. The hard days of working as a shutdown contractors was awesome but some of the dirtiest and hardest work you can think of. So glad I could be apart of your travels in life mate.

Keep up the always awesome work and great video content.

Hi There, Great segment. However, how realistic is ones "focus" on what they want to do if they have no experience and no knowledge of tasks behind each title? I am also informed that one should present a "mining" resume in order to be hired and no cover-letter. Is this true? Thanks.

Hey mate, I drove rigid/semi tippers in Melbourne for 5 years and want to go to the mines now. I can go and get R11 tickets etc, but they all want years of experience for tipper/haul truck jobs. Do you think there’s a way around that? Think i can’t use my references because it wasn’t on mine sites and the trucks were a lot smaller!

I read online that some people work at a site for 6 months and earn enough money to take the rest of the year off is this true and realistic or are they just talking it up?

I’m from Indonesia to be exact Bali. I have experience in the coal mine as a komatsu or caterpillar 785 dump truck operator. I really want to be able to work in Australian mines, can you please help me.

If you want to get into mining the first thing you need to do is move to the resource powerhouse that is Western Australia, don’t pussyfoot around with pansy eastern states mining.

I recently recruited a newly found Gold Mine, and amazingly on my Ancestral Family Land (Im Native American) I love working here, I’d like to think of it as like My Land is providing for my family and me.

Hey man, love the videos… could you give me some advice… I want to move with my family to Queensland, which towns (not city) would be best to live in that I can do FIFO? Preferably somewhere by the coast.

Im convinced its a rigged system. Ive been told twice by mining HR Reps (not on the record) that i need to be a woman or Aboriginal. Ive been trying for 12 years since and have more tickets than a roll of toilet paper. Ill keep trying but i still think the recruitment process is unfair to all that apply.
