I live in the Roswell area. You can find decent selenite specimens just outside of town and after a good rain some pecos diamonds. That place has been picked over since the late 1920’s for the diamonds, but I was able to find a few TINY ones. ( The smallest was a 1×3 mm in an ant hill.) The pecos diamonds tend to be orange, an unusual color for quartz. If you read your comments, I would love to ask some questions about your selenite roses from the Carlsbad area.
These are Nice Mineral Specimens! Ive collected some of the same minerals out here in NM.. Your Selenite cluster is nice. The Selenite i find out here is a bit Different.. Also the Mineralized wood you have is nice! Ive collected some nice large and small pieces from there as well.. Ive cleaned some up layers and revealed alot have Beautiful Pyrite and Even metallic blue Chalcopyrite or Possible Covellite.. From what ive read there were Small percents of (covellite) in the Mineralization there..

Fantastic oxidized copper petwood!
Love seeing these
Beautiful thanks for sharing
Awesome pieces! I really like those fluorite pieces and those roses!
I still have a desert rose (calcedony) and Apache tear that a high school geology teacher from Los Alamos gave me years ago.
What types of products do you use to clean your stone specimens after collecting them?
The petrified wood is amazing! May i ask what area you found that?
