All you Mets fans crying about the strike zone. If the pitch is close but barely off the plate… it’s still a ball. He was calling the pitches both ways because Arrieta for the Cubs threw almost 90 pitches in 5 innings. There’s no crying in baseball. Ever think the real problem is the inept Mets hitters? The Mets left 10 runners on base and their defense tonight was terrible. Are you going to blame that on the umps too? Typical ignorant fans!

that umpire was really good i must say. not giving the pitchers anything framed out of the zone. some would complain like Walker did, but those werent strikes

Got lucky on some of those calls, we may have won but it didn’t feel like a solid win considering how many batters were left stranded. Hopefully we can break even soon, lets go cubs!

The home plate umpire is a stellar umpire,…I don’t think he missed one call at home plate. He’s very brave and tough too…

I’m not a Mets fan but, the Home Plate Umpire made the game not worth watching. It wasn’t a fair contest. After the Eric Gregg show in 1997, I think MLB games are fixed.
