Dear Mr. Williams, I have a surefire way for you to find easy gold: give paid tours for would-be prospectors. I’ve made every mistake you can make as a gold panner and prospector, and have found absolutely nothing after many tries. I’m sure many people would pay a decent fee to be shown in-person where to look and how to be productive in gold prospecting. Just a thought.

I found my first batch of quartz bearing gold two weeks ago working on extracting but being with limited resources I’m still trying to figure out how to diy extract.
Luckily my hubby works in a machine shop and one of his coworkers is a patreon of yours and now that I have materials to show I know what to look for I’m getting support from these guys who are excited about my finds!
Learning it all from you though, I’m able to identify the indicators and have come upon some interesting minerals.

Hello Jeff. i really enjoy your videos. i am new to California gold prospecting and desert prospecting. trying to prospect the otay mountain area (dulzura area) since it is near my house. do you have any advice for finding gold out in that area.
Is a permit required?
Blue Cut is a bit of a wierd and at times, dangerous area. There’s a few "alternate" segments of the population that meet up and hang out there. Do some research into the area before making the decision to go there. Few tiny flakes in the creek but not sure it’s worth it. The noobs love it there because its easy to get to and they can actually find some fly poop size flakes. They soon realize that their sammich and soda cost more than the value of the gold they are bringing home. Horsethief is pretty much all claimed up (or private property), as is Lytle Creek. Please people, learn how to check for claims and don’t jump them or trespass. There’s various ranches, private property, claims, and government owned lands in the areas in this video and they can make life difficult for prospectors if we don’t obey the rules and treat the land and owners with some respect. At least join one of the clubs that have the claims in the areas you want to prospect in, then go get all the shiny you want, legally.
