SECRET SPOTS IN LA! We all know Los Angeles as the home of Hollywood, Santa Monica, and Venice Beach – but what about the lesser known spots that tourists don’t know about? I set out on a one day challenge to explore 5 hidden gems here in LA, and what I found was how unique this city really is. There is so much more to LA than meets the eye, and I’ll show you why! I hit up Lake Shrine, Murphy’s Ranch, Spadena House, Old LA Zoo, and Lake Hollywood Park, and had the best adventures at all of them!

It’s funny that Michael considers Griffith Park as east L.A. He is still about 8 miles northwest of downtown L.A. — East L.A. is east of downtown.
All in all, this is an excellent survey of a few very interesting places. The Lake Shrine is one of my favorites. This video showcases Michael’s congenial personality and knowledgeable manner. I hope he has many more to view.

The old zoo is a nice spot, but it’s no secret spot. Hundreds go through it every week, especially on the weekend.
