The Gold of Leon Trabuco Treasure Legends Of New Mexico
Leon Trabuco hid 16 tons of gold in the New Mexico desert. Speculating on gold during the Great Depression, Leon Trabuco and several other Mexican millionaires conspired to smuggle gold into the US and wait for the Depression to drive gold prices to unknown heights. When the Gold Act of of January 1934 declared that provate ownership of gold was prohibited, Trabuco’s Gold plan was thwarted. Before a plan to retrieve the gold was put in place the conspirators were all dead. Did Trubuco have them killed? Trubuco eventually died taking the location of his gold cache with him…

Sorry buddy but your google earth picture of the shrine rock location is definitely off and there’s absolutely no adobe house in your location on your picture but I know exactly where it is

The plane was a Ford TriMotor. The gold was flown to Conger Mesa, and kept on an adjoining ranch (different owners now). The gold was buried on the ranch until the Federal Grand Jury was called in 1951. It was then dug up and moved. A friend spoke to the old ranch caretaker in 1986 just before he died. He said the people got nervous when the Grand Jury was called, so they moved the gold somewhere North from the ranch. The caretaker said the trucks would leave and be back empty in about two hours. There were clues left that have been found, but I don’t think anybody hit the big one yet. It is supposed to be up around White Horse Mesa somewhere.
