Its Springtime in the Motherlode and we are back on the Yuba, digging up some gold. The pastures along Hwy 49 are emerald green. The poppies are golden and plentiful. Mother Yuba is flowing high, cold and fast. We dome it up for the LBPA. We take delight from the discovery of every glistening flake in the pan We relax, take our time and offer smoke to ensure that the 2023 mining season will be the best ever.

my best year for gold on the middle yuba was when i took part of my crop, hiked down from tylerfoots crossing and traded it to the dregers for gold… 1989… HB
