Said to be the largest copper mine in the U.S., the Morenci Copper Mine produced 848 million pounds of copper in 2016! One fascinating feature of the overlook is watching mine trucks going from here to there. They seem to move like dancers waltzing across a dance floor.
I worked there. Quit because it wasn’t worth getting squashed by a haul truck sliding backwards down a haul road.
