Join me as I visit the abandoned coal mining town of Nortonville, California. Established in 1855 and lasting a mere 50 years, Nortonville was home to hundreds of miners and their families. By 1885 the mines and the town were gone.

Cool video! I wasn’t aware of these abandoned towns around Mt Diablo. Question: I noticed you parked the motorcycle and hiked along the way. Can’t you ride all the way (or is it blocked for motorized vehicles)?
