Our friend and former NASA Engineer turned YouTuber Mark Rober steps in as guest host, conducts an experiment at the Farmer’s Market in LA to see who would recognize him, and in honor of Mark’s upcoming Discovery series “The Revengineers” we set up some ridiculous situations on Hollywood Blvd to see if anybody would stop and do the right thing, and we reward the good Samaritans by giving them the opportunity to blow stuff up for a chance to win some of Jimmy’s money.

This makes me feel young, because I’m over 50 and I know who Mark Rober is! I found the Squirrel video during the pandemic and then my own young aspiring engineer showed me the rest. Mythbusters’ late great Grant Imahara and this guy are the media inspiration for my kiddo. He starts working at the University this fall. They only take one apprentice in a year and at 17, he’s one of the youngest, ever. So, thank you, Mark!

OK, Imma go out on a limb and say this NASA engineer programmed the final challenge so that whichever handle they pressed, it would blow up the watermelon first, then the next one would blow up the cake, and the next one would blow up the nachos. Yeah, the game was RIGGED!
Hey Mr. Rober, I just went to the Martial Cottle demonstration garden in San Jose yesterday. It’s run by the UCCE Master Gardeners program of Santa Clara County. 4 acres of cool stuff. They were complaining about the squirrels. I sent them your video. You should tape a video there, its a really cool place with the mission to educate the public about science based horticulture!

Well this became my favorite episode! The t-shirt cannon was a very close second. I’m 57 and I know Mark’s videos very well. He has 22 million subscribers which means there are many millions of viewers who don’t subscribe. I could only guess that the people they interviewed don’t watch youtube and only watch mainstream tv.
