I will send you a msg on Facebook when.i find that quartz with gold specimen again I lost it umongst other stones I have found. lol and will send you some specimens of iron pyrite all of it to be opened in a fan mail video so you can show a good example of what both really look like because I was fooled myself as you know. lol 😆 🤣 anyways love it brother. keep it going.
Trick with gravel bars is two fold.
First take a magnet, that helps narrow the line of concerntrated heavies.
Second dig down until you hit a silt layer.
When I was swimming in Boulder Creek I saw lots of gold looking flakes on the creek bed. It’s everywhere.

Last time I was in breckenridge I saw a sweet spot lots of black sand right after a small waterfall in the bend of the creek.

The “BestDamGoldPan” is a pretty good pan. For low water and you don’t have to classify it. Just remove huge rocks, but you can really shake it harder from side to side. Once you get it to cons, bring all the material back to the main pan and use the 2” corners to fine it down. Yes I still prefer ol’ Garret!

It is beautiful up there. The cool high altitude air is one thing I wish we had here in the Black Hills. If it is hot at home it will still be hot at most of our high elevations here. Happy prospecting.
