When they are done digging a hole, they need to fill it back in. Period

  7. 5050 ODDZ PROSPECTING on May 14, 2022 at 11:52 pm

Seriously, it’s Gold. You don’t have the resources to protect it. I’ve seen 1st hand. You’ll just make Outlaw miners who will be VERY protective and destructive because they know, they probably won’t be able to come back to a spot. You want them to be conforming. Just leave it alone at this point THE Laws in place are working Fine. . How does anyone not see that unless ,…you don’t get out there much. Makes me think some of these people don’t actually know how much wilderness is out there.
RESPECTFUL PEOPLE COEXIST, DISRESPECTFUL PEOPLE DONT.
    BOTTOM LINE

  8. Nicholas P on May 14, 2022 at 11:53 pm

I love investing in mining companies and am fascinated by geology and also an avid fisherman so I’ll watch. Definitely try to strike a balance. Kill fish and get the metals.

  9. 5050 ODDZ PROSPECTING on May 14, 2022 at 11:54 pm

Sooo, these lobbyists go around making up regulations for public lands….👌 got it. Fishing?? JUST AS BAD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT, TRUST ME. ITS RIDICULOUS. A BUNCH OF SINGLE MINDED INDIVIDUALS COMING TOGETHER WITH A COLLECTIVE OPINION CHANGES NOTHING. PEOPLE SEE "PROGRAMS" TODAY FOR WHAT THEY ARE. THERE ARE 2 SIDES TO EVERY STORY. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY ONE OF THOSE. 🤦‍♂️ A HALF TRUTH, LIKE GOOGLE.

not cool, man, not cool, that miner company wasnt allowed to dig and destroy the land,

  12. Paul Gudgel on May 14, 2022 at 11:57 pm

The Feds should by the land and make it a national park. No mining here period. The pebble folks should spend their money and resources on recycled Copper. This mine will destroy this beautiful natural habitat for all wildlife and people in this region by the incredible amount of toxic waste water it will produce. If the argument of some people in this region is jobs and money for gas, electric, internet and the like, let them move to where the jobs are. Alaskans and the environment will suffer for generations if this mine is permitted.

  17. Angelo Christou on May 15, 2022 at 12:05 am

Canada should of bought it; The US will make short work of destroying it.

  18. hmong talk on May 15, 2022 at 12:06 am

There is enough Gold already out of the ground! The dollar is not even backing by the Gold and Silver so why be so greedy! First comes Jobs, Money, then Pollution and death of Fish.
Then comes people, Bars/Clubs, and Illegal Prostitution’s. The change of your Community will not be Peaceful! So sad! No Mining.

  19. Brandon Nance on May 15, 2022 at 12:06 am

I hope the mine plan fails i dont trust the pebbles group and their lies. If an accident can happen it will

  20. Gurpreet Singh on May 15, 2022 at 12:08 am

They are lying this mine is not 500 billion dollar. They say this because they want contract from govt.

What water doesn’t freeze solid in winter time in Alaska? See, now I can also be a geologist

  24. Edgar Gallego on May 15, 2022 at 12:11 am

That’s insane. They have to plan for tens of thousands of years to contain the pollution. I’d rather have salmon for that period of time.

  25. vanfja on May 15, 2022 at 12:14 am

Ya, we don’t want this in pristine Alaska, let the poorer countries mine it without the strong environmental and safety regulations and fill our unquenchable demand here in the west for copper and battery metals! We want the metals but don’t want the mess in our back yard, let poor unfortunate people who can’t afford all of our products deal with our mess.

  26. Bab Mzn on May 15, 2022 at 12:14 am

The communities live off subsistence fishing and the mine can change their lives. Not to mention its a long life world class mineral resource. Eventually it has to open.

  27. TWSTF 8 on May 15, 2022 at 12:15 am

Drop ONE penny in your fish tank, and by the next morning you’ll see first hand how toxic it is, especially in an aquatic oxygen rich environment on the inhabiting wildlife.

That’s before even considering the many ancillary chemicals used in the ore extraction and leeching process, and the associated waste management that results from that step.

And then there’s the sheer violence of the landscape needed just to access the raw material buried deep underground.

Open-pit mining is probably the single most destructive, devastating industry ever attempted by human beings.

It leaves permanent damage to an otherwise pristine landscape wherever it takes place, all for access to a raw material that isn’t exactly in high demand to begin with.

When we are facing catastrophic shortages of copper, lead, nickel, and gold, THAT’S when investors should start raising the questions about which ecosystems to trade in for it.

    Not before.

I’m with the local Natives and fishermen, and the environmentalists, who have come together in opposition to this high risk/low reward venture.

Anybody standing with the mining company is either earning money themselves for their efforts or trying to sell YOU something.

It’s really not any more trivial than that.

In my opinion no mineral deposit is worth more than our animal resources. 🇺🇸

  32. David Sanders on May 15, 2022 at 12:20 am

It doesn’t make sense the fish industry will make 120,000,000,000 billion in hundred years it’s not worth losing the fish so the pebbles partnership be greedy and make money they don’t give damn about the fish or ecosystem

  33. Cosmic Charlie on May 15, 2022 at 12:21 am

Gold is a bizarre thing. Almost completely useless in and of it’s self. Women enjoy adorning themselves with it. And they may be the most precious thing you can obtain with it.

  47. 5050 ODDZ PROSPECTING on May 15, 2022 at 12:38 am

    What’s a mined Forest/lake/River area after 40 years.
Answer? A CLEAN Forest/Lake or River. It changes every year. Placer Mining alone takes lead, mercury, fishing line, hooks sinkers and glass all out of our waters. And we take smothering soot from rivers and creeks and keep them healthy for fish and wildlife after we leave. Hard Rock mining is a lil different. It should be regulated I agree. But the River cleaners, PEOPLE, TRUST ME, THEY ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING MOTHER NATURE WONT DO HERSELF IN A YEAR. I TELL PEOPLE IM A DIRT WASHER. I WATCH MINNOWS EATING WHAT MY SLUICE KICKS UP AND THEN DROPS 10′ FURTHER DOWN STREAM. MOST OF US ARE VERY RESPECTFUL AND STAY AWARE OF WILDLIFE/AQUATICS AROUND US. I know guys that stopped digging because of an ant hill. Seriously, DONT BE ILL INFORMED. IF THESE PEOPLE WERE TELLING THE COMPLETE TRUTH WITHOUT INFLUENCING, YOU’D SEE.
